Tropic Air Rescue is the only fully-approved helicopter air medical service covering the Bahamas.

We recognize that businesses that are based or do business in the Bahamas may want to secure coverage for their employees and/or customers. We will be pleased to customize a unique program that provides great benefits and easy administration.

The Tropic Air Rescue website allows for a member to manage their membership, matched to their length of stay, and make payments for either daily, monthly or annual memberships.

We are capable of serving a diverse range of sectors including cruise lines, hotels, construction companies, homeowners associations and residential enclaves.

WHAT SETS US APART

Tropic Air Rescue is the only fully-approved helicopter air medical service covering the Bahamas.

Our program is designed to drastically decrease the time it takes for a patient to receive professional medical care for a trauma emergency.  When faced with a life threatening emergency, calls are made to source an option for transport.  The coverage we provide facilitates a rapid emergency response.  

Precise Access to Any Location

Day or night, helicopters land at remote locations inaccessible by fixed-wing aircraft. 

Pre-Certification

Identity and enrollment information is collected up-front.  In the event of an emergency trauma incident, we have the information that we need for a rapid rescue response.  

No Out-of-pocket Costs

After an air medical service is provided, we file a claim with your health insurance company for reimbursement.  We do not seek additional payments beyond what is provided via health insurance. .  

Coordination with Florida Trauma Centers

Our Medical Director determines the most appropriate health care facility and the helicopter is directed to that hospital heliport.

Tropic Air Rescue’s approach drastically improves outcomes in medical emergencies.

As a pre-certified member, having already provided the information needed to provide transport, the helicopter launches instantly to your aid.  A helicopter asset will land closer to the patient and will generally minimize the disruptions in the journey to a hospital. The patient is transported to a hospital heliport in Florida for immediate care intervention.
